Sridhar Math

Located in the midst of nature and picturesque location, Varadahalli is a small village near Sagar town, Shimoga district. Varadahalli also known as Varadpur is popularly known for Sridhara Swami Mutt (Ashram). The ashram houses Samadhi of sanctity Sri Sridhara Swami who was a great saint during the 20th century. Sri Sridhara Swamiji's Samadhi in the cave form is one of the main attraction in the temple. It is believed that Sri Sridhara Swami spent his last years at Varadahalli before going into the Samadhi.

At the top of the mountain, there is Dharma Stambha with the Dharma Dhwaj which is 30 feet in height. There is Sanskrit Pathshala where Upanishads, Vedas, and other spiritual literature taught to students. The temple premises houses Goshala where around 250 cows are taken care very well. Shreedhar Teertha is a holy water that runs continuously and believed to be formed by Sridhara Swamiji. The devotees believe that water runs with purity till the earth exists and this holy water cures all skin related diseases.
